Story Fairy Sessions
share your story | leave your legacy
Weave your wisdom and experience into a harmonious and heartwarming memoir.
Next session starting September 2026.
Gone are the days of fireside folklore.
Spooky tales of sorcery and shapeshifting to the tune of a fire spitting.
Yet such practices had a place: they brought people together.
Where do we go now to feel heard? To be present in our own story and participate in that of the community?
Too often, we’re left wondering what our wisdom is worth. And especially as we age, who would want it.
Still, telling our story is natural, beneficial, and utterly irresistable.
Story Fairy Sessions are a place to pen your story with the guidance of an experienced writer and storyteller.
But they’re so much more than that.
They’re a space for interaction and connection, vision and imagination, contemplation and celebration.
A unique opportunity to record your accomplishments, document your dreams, and commune with others.
To recall the joy. To relive the learning. And to leave no words unsaid.
Maybe you’re here because…
You know you have something to say but don’t know where to start
You’ve begun many times but get stuck piecing together the parts
You’re intrigued to trace your trajectory and drawn to leave a legacy
You wish you could let go of the rules and write more freely, more authentically
You’re nervous about transmitting the correct message, finding the right format, or sharing the more emotional moments and memories
Story Fairy Sessions are your chance to move from “I’ll share that someday” to “Look what I wrote today!” With structure, support, and writing skill for added sparkle, we gradually excavate the essence of your story, reintroduce you to your creativity, and recall the qualities of your voice.
Session Structure
In this series of 10 weekly workshops, you’ll share in conversation prompted by a 'story spark.’
You’ll write a collection of 'story capsules,' moments and memories that capture your unique perspective, wisdom, and lived experience.
And you’ll experiment with a storytelling technique to make your words pop, sparkle, and dance in unison.
If writing a memoir has been on your mind, but you didn't know where to start, what to include (or exclude!), or how to set the time aside...these sessions were made for you!
Hi, I’m Lauren.
I am what is referred to as an ‘old soul’.
Wise, intuitive, creative, and a tad rebellious!
Imagination was my first language.
As a child, I was shy and withdrawn, yet my inner world was rich, vibrant, and alive with possibililty.
Naturally, I immersed myself in the arts. I studied for a Master’s in Literature with a focus on the storytelling tradition.
Over the past 15 years, I’ve developed my ability to excavate and articulate the core themes and patterns that make stories uniquely enchanting.
I’ve taught English language, tutored academic writing, and built a copywriting business that guides creative entrepreneurs back to their mission, purpose and passion in order to sharpen their message and connect with their audience.
You could say I trade in stories, as our ancestors once did.
Story Fairy Sessions are wholesome and heartfelt workshops to write the narrative, honour the journey, and weave the wisdom that lives within - even if the only person to benefit from it is you.
After one class: you’ll be more confident in the stories you have to tell and more capable of writing with creativity, zest, and personality.
After five classes: you’ll feel more connected to your community and more in touch with your creativity.
By the end of the session: you’ll have a collection of story capsules that express who you are, not just what you’ve done.
There’s no expectation of prior experience or concrete objective needed. Simply come along with an open mind, a courageous heart, and a notebook dedicated to adventure.

TESTIMONIALS
“Lauren is a gift. She gives you the time and thoughtful consideration very few others do.
Her in-depth knowledge of age old traditions of storytelling and the communication humans crave, means she opens up a magical way for you to express your message at a very deep level.”
SARAH WALTON
“Lauren helped me find the red thread - linking my background, career, passion, and strengths in a circle - and formed my unique story.
I've been a visual person all my life. I could revise and reformulate my own story 100 times, and it would never come close to how it is written now.”
LU CAI
“In our sessions, I felt seen and that inspired me to be more vocal. We go into a creative trance together, and I don't notice time passing.
I always leave feeling re-energized and with a strong sense of purpose.”

VOICE DISCOVERY
Your writing style is shaped by the company you keep, the creativity you consume, and the ‘good practices’ you have bound yourself to.
Spending time with your own voice allows connection with a truer expression, revealing the nature of your creativity.
CONFIDENCE BUILDING
Perhaps you were criticized for having poor grammar, you feel you have nothing significant to say, or you worry about being misunderstood.
Stripping back the pressure to perform allows your story take shape effortlessly. A new confidence in your abilities ignites courage to continue — and resilience in other areas too.
PATTERN MAPPING
Your stories are interconnected, and you are the glue. As you write, you reveal patterns and themes between your ideas and experiences.
You may more keenly understand your journey, the charge held by certain memories, and the character traits that make you who you are.
CONSCIOUS LIVING
Storytelling teaches the subtle art of noticing, which brings a deeper sense of presence, attention, and intention to your interactions with others and engagement with the world.
You start to appreciate the glimmers of magic and the abundance of joy in and around you.
IMAGINATION IGNITION
Stories breed stories. The more you nurture your imagination, the more inspiration finds you. The more inspiration finds you, the more wonder is expanded and expression liberated.
You begin to see yourself, your relationships, and your creativity through a lens of lightness and awe. A childlike curiosity and belief in your own potential can increase joy and connection.
HOLDING & HEALING
The opposite of depression is not joy, it’s expression. Stories, just like emotions, hold an energetic charge, which is neither positive or negative when the current is kept in flow.
Expressing the stories you hold in your memory honours your journey, heals your heart, and closes outdated chapters to reveal space for new perspectives and possibilities.
