Oh, hi! It’s me, Lauren:
Story Fairy. Wisdom Weaver. Legacy Keeper.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve held my words tight. As a child, my drawers were filled with poems that “weren’t very good,” padlocked diaries of “unrealistic dreams,” and crumpled up song lyrics that I would cringe to expose to curious eyes.
But it was only a matter of time before words would break out of the closet to chase me.
Have we not met?
One day in the university library, a book flew off the shelf into the aisle in front of me. A collection of fairy tales, unlike the ones I’d inherited from Disney.
Gut-wrenchingly real stories exposing the ugliest fears, deepest longings, and muddiest moments of women’s lives, disguised as fantasy.
Much to my surprise, I was enchanted.
Immediately signing up for a class on storytelling, myth, and magic, I devoured the tales of women who shape-shifted and beguiled, fought for their freedom and fled the kingdom.
While I had no personal experience of the days of taverns and nursemaids, I found meaning and relevance in every tale.
The tender truth of the human heart is so deeply personal yet universal.
I had discovered — no, remembered — the power of story.
Stories are unique in offering us a translucent experience. We don’t only see the story, we see ourselves through it.
A story allows for the collective consciousness present in both reader and writer to recognise its co-existence. A recognition that unites…and ignites.
My inner fire for the remembrance of our shared humanity and the power of our creativity fuels me to help others mine their memories for meaning, delight in the depth of their wisdom, and reclaim their authentic expression.
As we weave our individual narratives into the collective web of stories, we are invited once again back into the interconnectedness of all life.

Spellbound is a collaborative container in which to bring your wisdom together and get it ready to share. These collaborative 1:1 sessions provide a framework of objective guidance and practical support:

to level-up your writing and engage your audience in a lucid and skilled way
Over the course of 12 weeks, you’ll map out the invisible architecture that creates your story’s structure and awaken the heart of your tale.
